The fact of the manner is that the Republican Party has gone to the most extreme to attract voters that lack the ability to comprehend large scale issues in more abstract or complex ways. In order for there to be a level headed discourse there needs to be some level of knowledge on either side of the political spectrum. Otherwise we will continue to fight about such nonsense as the president not being born in this country or that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to be married. We need to get serious about our country but first we need to be educated about it.
